Fountain Insurance Brokers Limited was incorporated on 30th October 1989 with RC No.140915 as a private unlimited liability company. The company was subsequently registered as insurance/reinsurance brokers, life and pensions consultants with RBC No. 52.
The company is owned by British and Nigerian investors who are all insurance professionals and have practice insurance brokering in all its ramifications during the last three decades, both nationally and internationally, including Lloyd’s of London. They are all fully involved in the day-to-day operations of the company.
The company today has been recapitalized to N50,000,000:00, over and above minimum paid-up share capital statutorily required of insurance firms in Nigeria under the Insurance Decree No 2 of 1997. This has enabled the company upgrade its head office to the present address and open up offices in Kano, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kaduna and Ibadan. These offices are equipped with modern equipment to facilitate speedy delivery of qualitative service to our numerous clients in an environment that is friendly and welcoming.
In the local insurance market, our present owners are reputed for their expertise in the development of new insurance products, risk management programme design and implementation, packaging tailor-made insurance policies for large and medium scale manufacturing, construction and commercial risks, and making positive contributions to the market generally. Through our technical partner, Rickard Lazenby International Co. Limited(Insurance Brokers), we have access to international insurance markets including Lloyds of London for risk placements. Through careful selection processes we have been able to assemble a crop of staff that are highly qualified and experienced in insurance broking. With the level of confidence they enjoy from the board and management, the right infrastructure on ground, we are positioned to render that quality service expected of a world-class insurance broking outfit.
